As I was outside enjoying this beautiful warm weather with the sun shining, I thought “this is the day that the Lord has made.”
But then I realized so are the rainy days when all is overcast and there’s thunder, lightning, and strong winds that threaten to overtake you.
He also made the bleak wintery days that seem to linger for months…those days when it feels so cold. You look around and feel all is dead…the leaves, the flowers, the trees all seem brown and dreary. Your footing is unsure as you slip and slide on the icy paths.
Yes, the Lord God has made it all. But it won’t stay that way forever. Eventually, the sun WILL shine again and all that seemed lifeless will begin to bud and bloom as the storms of winter pass. So it is in the seasons of life.
